A sequel to Joker (2019) is set to be released in cinemas starring the Joker himself, Joaquin Phoenix. Since the 80s, Phoenix’s love for dark unconventional roles came to light, peaking when he starred in Joker. He is diving back into the madness, falling for Harley Quinn.
Folie a Deux in English means Double Madness. This gives a hint into the movie. It can be presumed that the double madness description of the movie relates to Joker and his newfound love, Harley, meeting in an asylum.

Coming into prominence after directing the Hangover series, Todd Phillips is set to direct the second Joker movie. In 2010, he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy), and in 2019, he also won the Golden Lion Award at Venice International Film Festival.

In the upcoming dancing musical, Arthur Fleck (Joker) meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn while in confinement at Arkham State Hospital. Harley, a fellow inmate’s curiosity about Arthur turns to extreme obsession. A romantic relationship ensues between the duo while being inmates at the facility.
Joker Folie a Deux, A Musical?
The movie is definitely going to be a musical. It leans into being mostly a Jukebox musical. Also to the tune of at least 15 covers of popular songs. Leaked on-set footage pretty much confirms this. We’re so prepared for a sing-along when this is out.
